‘Baby Go Boom’ Gig Raises £2,300 & Blasts Away The Winter Blues!

Over 200 people danced the night away on Saturday 3rd February at Smarden Village Hall.  Charity fundraisers Helen and Julie organised a gig at the venue, featuring the fantastic live band ‘Baby Go Boom‘.

Whether you were an expert ‘Dad’ dancer, a seasoned ‘twerker’ or just liked to boogie on down, there was plenty of variety of music to suit.   From Soft Cell to Jamiroquai, Madness to Ed Sheeran – every style and era was included.  The dancefloor was packed all evening and it was certainly a great way to beat the winter blues!

With a bar and snacks, a raffle and the sale of gig tickets, the event raised a massive £4,600.  The money will be divided equally between our charity, Breast Cancer Kent, and The Heart of Kent Hospice – both close to Helen and Julie’s hearts.

Thank you so much to all those who came and danced til their feet ached!  It was great fun and a real success.  So much so that we’ve booked for next year – date for your diaries – Saturday 9th February 2019!
