Bold & Proud Charity Fashion Show

Laura Freeman Fundraising

Some of our Kent Secondary Breast Cancer Support Group members got together to put on a charity fashion show which raised thousands of pounds for Breast Cancer Kent and Breast Cancer Now.

Held at East Peckham Village Hall on 11th May 2024 it was hosted by Dave Francis, husband of one of the organisers, and a speech was given by Claire Ryan, Trustee of Breast Cancer Now and regular supporter of Breast Cancer Kent (and Clinical Nurse Specialist at MTW hospitals).

The fabulous and fantastic models were all breast cancer patients and included a male breast cancer patient too. All models are living with secondary breast cancer in and around Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells. Their outfits represented a sentiment set by themselves, as models, and were inspired by the phrase “dare to…”. They aimed to raise money for the charities but also to raise awareness of secondary breast cancer and empower those living with the disease.

Thanks to all who took part – it looked like a fun event! Go girls (and guys)!
