We were delighted that Hever Castle Golf Club chose Breast Cancer Kent as their charity fundraising focus at their annual Captain’s Drive In event this year.
The Gentleman and Lady Captains held a drive-in charity fundraising event, with 110 of the club’s members competing to be the winning team in the competition. There were prizes for guessing the distance of the Captains’ inaugural drives down the fairway and for the winning teams playing the event round.
All in all the club was delighted with the success and enjoyment of the event; and that they managed to raise £1,483 for Breast Cancer Kent. Captains Rob and Annette summed up the day by adding, “The last year has reminded us of what the most important part of golf is – the people you play with. So, while we enjoy our golf, and enjoy the club, let’s remember to value the people you share a round with. They are what make a great round better and a bad round forgotten. Membership of a golf club is not just about playing golf, it is much more than that.”
We sincerely thank Hever Castle Golf Club for their support and wish them a very happy year ahead.
