The ladies of the Birchington Womens’ Institute raised £3,062 for Breast Cancer Kent by creating a real-life ‘Calendar Girls’ calendar!
A cheque was presented to Fundraising Co-ordinator, Helen Teare, at the Birchington WI August meeting.
The daring ladies posed ‘nude’ with some strategically placed props in true Calendar Girls style and proceeds of the sale of the calendar have come to Breast Cancer Kent. This WI have only been going for one year but have certainly taken the Institution by storm! They meet on the first Tuesday of the month at Church House, Kent Gardens, Birchington.
